I have a 115 mercury that every once in a while the warning buzzer will sound a steady tone indicating that it is overheating but the engine does not feel that warm. When the buzzer sounds it is no a loud buzz like when you first turn on the key a week sound like maybe a wire is shorting to ground. When I looked at it I did not see any wires that looked like they could be grounding out to cause this. Is it possible that the control module where both the oil and heat alarm go through is bad ?
