I have a 1955 Evinrude 5.5hp Fisherman. We run 4 motors at a remote lake in quebec and somehow we neglected to add the oil to this tank. It started and ran 15 min befire dying. Could anyone estimate the general extent of damage done to the motor? Is it practical to consider rebuilding due the age and availability of parts?
Thanks for any input

Hello If engine was run at low speed little damage will occur. try adding heavy oil and run engine as it may come back to life if bearings surrived.
