   I recently purchased a 1990 Johnson 225 on a 19' Key West deep vee C/C.

I had a few bugs which I worked through. but the last 2 or 3 times out, after  warming up the engine, when I first open up  the throttle, I get a miss that lasts for two or three miles and then quits.  After that, the motor runs great.  I have no idea where to start looking, as it seems to be electrical and ignition related.  I don't think this has anything to do with the missing problem, but the tach stopped working about the same outing as the first problem.   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

     Many thanks

If ya can't find time to do it right' where ya gonna find time to do it over???

Hello I would start with checking the stator. the coils mounted on stator under flywheel will show leakiage or dripping . running with a leaky stator will also cause premature pack failure. sometimes tapping on top of pack will make engine miss. I have all parts needed in stock at discount
