  2007 sea swirl striper, omc binnacle controls,225 e-tec saltwater edition.

gages only, no display,  thought i understood the manual, helping out a friend who knows even less about it than i do,   wondering what buttons and throttle positions are correct for this procedure.  using the button on top of control and moving to first detent forward(fast idle?) then back to neutral(idle?)

please help if you can the manual is great, but we all have different controls

I have a 2006 2901 Seaswirl/Striper with twin e-tecs.  I just went through the winterization successfully. Similar setup as yours.

You want to push in the button on top of your control and move level forward )push it all the way forward, this is fast idle.  Normal idle is idle like you are piloting the boat and putting it into idle.
