I just emailed the Outboard Wizard with question about an outboard I have.
It's a 1960 evinrude 10 hp 10020.
I just tore down the motor, and found scoring in one cylinder, and the main bearing/bushing, as well as the crank.  Is this fixable?  Are there any parts available  for this motor?  Are there other year outboards, or different horse power motors that will interchange with this motor?  Maybe some of you guys and gals out there can help me as well.

Thanks,
Peter

I can't answer your question but I have the same motor up for auction on ebay right now-- item number 140153804433. Some fellow asked me if it was a short shaft, maybe you can help me answer his question.

Yes, to the best of my knowledge it is a short shaft.

Thanks, I didn't expect a reply so fast so I went out and just measured from the transom top to the prop centerline and gave him that.
