The float on the carb is cracked, and a replacement float assembly is no longer available for this motor.

Can the float be repaired or fabricated?

225.587151 is the motor serial number.

On the owner's manual diagram the float is #42

part # 10063

I received a rebuild kit from http://www3.sears.com/ but the float assemby is no longer available.

A replacememnt carb is no longer available, unless I can find a used one somewhere.

ty for the quick response. Can the carb float be glued or otherwise repaired or fabricated?

I know that older outboard carbs had cork floats.
