Hi. I have a 1999 Johnson 150 HP with approximately 450 hours. Engine has never been decarbed before. Is  it okay to decarb at this point in the engines life, I am afraid that doing it now may loosen up so much garbage it may hurt the engine. And if it's okay are there any special steps or just decarb as per instructions?

Hello this model does not get much carbon build up and decarb will help with any carbon that may be forming.I recommend small amounts of engine tuner used more often and let soak for 12 to 24 hrs. after soaking run at low speed for 5 minutes before running at high rpm.
