Ralph:
You said thermistats stick after they have not been used for a while.
I recently replaced divertors in one side of the engine.I startedup the engine
and at low speed the temp gauge read 180. When coming back from a fast run it went to 200. How long before the thermistats open properly? Do the high speed valves take a while to open properly also?

The high speed valves should open right away allowing engine to cool. will need to verify pump pressure or exhaust leak in cooling system causing overheat.

Can you tell me at what rpm the valves open? What should the temp be at the cylinder heads after they open?
Thanks for the reply.
