I took the boat out the other day. put about 1/2 tank of fuel in before going out. After running from about 3/4 tank to 1/4 tank apx 20 gallons the boat started sputtering. Boat would idle fine, but when I opened the throtle it would sputter. I thought it might be spark plug problem, so I changed them. Took it out that eveing ran it across the lake and back no problem. While I was accross the lake I saw surfacing fish so I went back. On the way back it started sputtering again. Thought it might be water in the gas. I purchased a water seperator/filter and haven't taken it out yet. Any suggestions to the problem if it is not the water in the gas?

Hello I would verify spark with timing light to check for consistant flashing on all cylinders . also check for leaky charge coils under flywheel causing erratic spark on 1 side of engine. any questions call 631-514-1525 thanks Ralph
