I am only running on one cylinder, one works fine, the other does not fire. Lower cylinder spark plug is hot and some light deposits on it after running, the upper spark plug is clean and cool.   Any suggestions?

Assuming you checked the compression on the Cylinder that isn't firing next thing to check is does it have spark? If plug isn't firing check that all connections are tight & try swapping the Spark Plugs. Next swap the coils that fire the plugs as these do go bad at times, finally the Ignition Module Assy. located under the flywheel may have one side dead.If you do have Good Compression & Spark then you have a Fuel/Carb. or Reed Valve issue. This motor has dual Carbs so one could be working fine while the other is not. Hope this helps.
